“Our intention with these additional food distributions is to specifically help under-resourced portions of Manatee County such as Myakka City and Duette,” said Maribeth Phillips, President & CEO of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee. “Just as we are feeding thousands within the city limits through our partner agencies, our message with these distributions is clear – we are here to help in rural Manatee County,” she added.

The Food Bank of Manatee is the only Food Bank based in Manatee County and is an independent food bank relying 100% on community support.  If you are able to assist individuals after the storm, donations can be made online at www.MealsOnWheelsPLUS.org or Text to Give by texting FEEDMANATEE to 243725.  All donations stay in Manatee County to help Manatee County residents. Non-perishable food donations, cleaning supplies, toiletry items, baby diapers/formula are also being accepted Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 3:00pm at The Food Bank of Manatee, 811 23rd Ave. East, Bradenton, FL 34208.
