Courtney De Pol has been approved unanimously by the Board of County Commissioners as a Deputy Administrator for Manatee County Government.
In this new role, Courtney will continue to oversee Development Services as Director while also now having Utilities Director Mike Gore, report directly to her in her new Deputy capacity.
“He’s a knowledgeable director,” she said. He’s got a great team behind him, and I’m really excited to understand the operation a little more.”
De Pol started her career with Manatee County in January, taking over the Development Services Department after 14 years combined experience with the Federal Government, Department of the Navy, local government and the private sector. Since that time, she has helped reorganize, recruit talent and relaunch a more-customer-focused department.
“She’s doing an exceptional job,” said Manatee County Administrator Scott Hopes, who pointed out that the new responsibilities dovetail with her background. “She has considerable experience in both Public Works and Utilities,” he added.
Courtney De Pol earned her Civil Engineering degree from Vanderbilt University and has graduate coursework in engineering management from Pennsylvania State University. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in civil engineering. She and her family recently relocated to Manatee County from Corpus Christi, TX.
