Manatee Clerk of Court Resumes In-Person Services

The Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Office will be resuming all in-person services, on Wednesday, June 24, 2020.  They will be performing this by appointment only in an effort to limit the number of customers in the office and comply with social distancing.  To make an appointment at the Clerk’s office, please call (941) 749-1800 to schedule during the normal business hours of, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.    

While the Manatee Clerk’s office is happy to welcome back customers in-person, they would like to encourage everyone to continue to utilize the on-line services.  Bill pay, electronic filing and more may be conducted by visiting their website at www.manateeclerk.com.  You can also use the drop box in the lobby for payments, official records and other paper pleadings.  These items are also accepted by mail. 

To better assist customers safely, while following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, there are minor changes at the office, which include a temperature reading machine for customers to use as they enter our building, protective glass has been installed along the countertops and there are floor markings to help with social distancing.  While masks are not required, they are strongly encouraging customers to use them.  To help, masks are available in the lobby for any customers who are in need of one.  In addition to these measures, our office is cleaned and sanitized daily. 

Again, if you do need to come into the office to conduct business, they strongly encourage you to take advantage of the appointment system and call ahead of your visit, to schedule a time to come in.  In an effort to follow social distancing guidelines, we recommend that customers try to enter the building as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible.  They, are are asking customers to not bring extra family members or friends with them.  Anyone who is not conducting business in the building, will be asked to remain outside.    

At this time, the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Office, is still not able to accept passport applications.  They will update customers with a start date as soon as they learn it.  To get information concerning court dates, please visit their website at www.manateeclerk.com, or call our office at (941)749-1800, between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.  You can sign up for the eNotify service to receive courtesy text and/or email reminders of criminal court events. To take advantage of this service, you will need to register at https://enotify.flcourts.org/.  You will need your name, e-mail address, a phone number and a password to sign up.  Also, Child Support payments are still being processed on-line.  Visit https://floridarevenue.com/childsupport for more information.

We thank everyone for their patience during this time. We are operating under the Florida Supreme Court orders as well as Executive Orders by Governor DeSantis, while also balancing CDC Guidelines.  It is our goal to continue to assist our customers during these unprecedented times in any way that we can.  We will continue to update the community about any changes at our office and court operations as soon as we learn them.
