October 28, 2020 – Sarasota

Every year, the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller’s Office hosts Operation Green Light to waive late fees and help residents repay their outstanding court fees to get their driver licenses reinstated.  This year’s Operation Green Light event will be hosted on Saturday, November 21st, from 8:00am – 12:00pm, at the Manatee County Clerk’s Office, located at 1115 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205.

During last year’s Operation Green Light events, our office helped many Manatee County residents, with a total of 722 cases, reinstate their driver’s license or become eligible for reinstatement.  Operation Green Light is an opportunity for our office to assist residents by allowing them to save as much as 30% on certain fees and to get back on the road.

For many Floridians, Operation Green Light means getting their independence and freedom back. During these unprecedented times, having a reliable means of transportation to get to work or support a family can be crucial.

“Our goal as Clerks is to reinstate as many drivers as possible in order to get citizens back out on the road and able to drive to work to provide for their families and be in compliance with the law,” said Angel Colonneso, Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. “In living up to our goal as Clerks by adapting to succeed, we intend to make this year’s event a safe and successful one for our citizens.”

In addition to this year’s Operation Green Light event, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will be on site with their Florida Licensing On Wheels, or FLOW, vehicle to print new licenses.
