Local PR Association Presents ‘Intoxicating’ Professional Development Program

By  |

The Central West Coast chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA) is hosting “Shake It Up,” a special event for marketing, communications and public relations professionals, on Wednesday, September 25, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., at The Bazaar on Apricot & Lime (801 N. Lime Ave. Sarasota). The lively program will feature spirited discussion by high-level representatives from four area distilleries. Admission is $25/CWC-FPRA members, $35/guests. Registration is available online at www.cwcfpra.com.

Stephanie Roberts of ABC 7’s Suncoast View will moderate the panel as representatives of the distilleries share secrets on how they create “buzz” in a crowded marketplace. The panelists are Lee Nelson and Patrick O’Brien, co-founders of Florida Cane Distillery; Philip McDaniel, CEO of St. Augustine Distillery; Carolyn Rudy, VP of Sales & Marketing, St. Petersburg Distillery; and Troy Roberts, CEO, Siesta Key Rum.

The panelists will present essential techniques in how to shake things up in a crowded marketplace, based upon these key questions:

· How do you set yourself apart from the crowd?

· How do you get people to read your materials and make a splash?

· How can you maintain that buzz that keeps people wanting more?

The event, which is sponsored by Gonzmart Family of Restaurants and catered by Cornerstone & Company, begins with networking from 3:30-4:00 p.m. followed by a welcome message and the panel discussion. Afterward, guests can enjoy beverage samples and lite bites.

The Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association meets monthly for professional development luncheons and networking. Visit www.cwcfpra.com for more information
