Local Non-Profit Elects Advisory Board of Directors and Announces In-person Fundraiser

Sisterhood For Good Inc. (SFG), an all-volunteer local public charity continues its trajectory of growth with the addition of newly elected Officers and Members to its 2021 Advisory Board of Directors.

Board Chair, Amy Gorman today announced “I am excited about the addition of talent to our Board of Directors.”  The following women joined the Advisory Board of Directors: Amy Gorman, Esq. as Nominating Chair; Maureen Chesson, Esq. as Governance Chair; Jill Maciag as Volunteers Chair; and Lori Ruth as Ethics & Accountability Chair.  “Each one boasts a stellar reputation, and a depth of experience and accomplishments to assist SFG in effectively executing the group philanthropy mission of our organization”, Gorman also stated.

Remaining in their second Advisory Board term are: Deborah Breslof, Treasurer; Graceann Frederico, Secretary; Angela Massaro-Fain, Communications Chair; Kathy Collums, Finance Chair; Peggy Kronus, Fundraising & Events Chair; Roxanne Sima, Grants Chair; Carrie Lewis, Membership & Recruitment Chair; as well as Jill Maciag, Social Sub-Committee Chair. 

Joining the 501(c)(3) corporation for two-year terms are: Theodora (Terri) Stern as the company’s Vice President and June Braithwaite as the corporate Secretary.  Continuing their duties of the corporation are company Founder and President Angela Massaro-Fain; and Treasurer, Deborah Breslof.  

Schloss also announced the upcoming January 15, 2021 “Vegas Comes To The Ranch” in-person fundraising event co-presented by the Sarasota Polo Club and Dalton Reed Interiors.  The Casino Night will featureheavy passed hors d’œuvres,10 bars,gaming tables, an OPEN BAR of Bourbon & Bacon, a Cigar Station, and gambling “Casino Ka$h”. “While the in-person event is long-awaited after the pandemic, SFG will be socially distancing all our guests following CDC guidelines as a safety measure”, stated Schloss.

The Lakewood Ranch-based corporation whose sole purpose is to raise funds for the betterment of the community, through an Annual Grants Program, has awarded more than $87,000 in grants and scholarships to 61 qualified local non-profits since 2013.
