Linda Poteat-Brown has been promoted to Vice President of Human Resources recently at Easterseals Happiness House. Poteat-Brown has been the director of the department since 2016, leading employee operations as well as various departments during her tenure at the agency.
“Since her first day, Linda has served as an exemplary leader, putting our mission of service and inclusion first,” President and CEO Tom Waters said. “The promotion was an obvious next step after she helped lead our agency successfully navigate the uncharted course the pandemic presented, continuing to serve the needs of both our staff and our clients.”
Poteat-Brown serves on the board of directors of Embracing Our Differences. She came to Easterseals from Atlanta where she served the human resources department at Morehouse School of Medicine for 14 years. She is a New York native.
With growth of autism, mental health and other disability needs at the forefront in our community, Poteat-Brown will be responsible for key strategies designed to accommodate the agency’s continued growth and objectives.
Easterseals Happiness House provides exceptional therapies and services for individuals with disabilities and their families by empowering them to live their lives to the fullest. Celebrating its 75th year of operation, the agency began serving the Southwest Florida region in 1946.
