President of JH Global, Inc.
Award-winning speaker, author, and executive coach Julie Henry believes it’s not age or job title that makes a leader, but the ideas they bring to the table. In her first book, Wisdom from the Wild, which was awarded Top 20: The Best Business Minds Book Awards for 2024, Julie uses lessons from wildlife and wild places to make leadership accessible to everybody. A demand from educators to adapt these lessons for the upcoming generation inspired Julie to partner with her own teenagers to write Wisdom from the Wild for Youth Leaders, set to release in 2025.
Julie’s examples of ubiquitous leadership come from stories that lend to being a role model in her own authenticity and building trust through her presentations. She creates a safe space in her keynotes to not only share joy in leadership, but to be vulnerable, as she shares her firsthand experiences with leading through grief and speaking candidly about mental health’s effects on leadership in her upcoming book.
Regardless of the age of her audience, there is something for everyone at all stages of their leadership experience to learn. Julie seeks to encourage those who attend her presentations to not shy away from the ideas and leadership qualities of the youth based on their age, but to create equal dialogue between the generations of leaders.
Guided by two principles of what brings joy, and what kind of impact she wants to have on the world, Julie’s goal is leadership unleashed. Showing up as authentically as possible requires challenge and growth, and Julie supports her clients every step of the way.
“As an emcee, as a keynoter, and as a leadership coach, I want you to feel safe, but then I’m going to challenge you. We’re going to grow together.”
