JoshProvides Epilepsy Assistance Foundation has been awarded a $5,895 grant from the William G. & Marie Selby Foundation to upgrade its CRM system which will enhance the organization’s fundraising capacity, maximize its ability to communicate with donors, and streamline its accounting systems.

Epilepsy is the fourth most common neurological disorder and 1 in 26 people will experience a seizure in their lifetime. With over forty types of seizures and no known cure, epilepsy can strike anyone, anytime, and anywhere. More than 500,000 Florida residents have been diagnosed with epilepsy. Education, community awareness, and dispelling the myths and misconceptions surrounding seizures is vitally important. The mission of JoshProvides is, “To improve the quality of life for those living with epilepsy and other seizure disorders.”

JoshProvides assists children, families, and individuals with seizure detection & alert devices, transportation to medical appointments, medical services, and community education & awareness.  In addition, JoshProvides sponsors an Epilepsy Support Group which meets virtually twice a month to keep families and individuals stay connected to community and share local resources.   The Epilepsy Support Group offers a community connection and resources to combat social isolation too often associated with epilepsy.
