The Junior League of Sarasota held its Annual Awards Dinner at The Grove on Tuesday, May 21st. The event began with a social hour followed by President Laura Mayhew-Purcell’s review of the League’s achievements. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of prestigious awards, including the Hall of Fame and President’s Award.
A key part of the event was the swearing-in ceremony for the new board members and the introduction of the new management team. Incoming President Laura Conaboy, along with the new board members, took an oath to uphold the League’s mission of advancing women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.
During the event, Executive Vice President Maegan Collin delivered a report on the League’s impact in the community, highlighting the meaningful contributions achieved throughout the past year. The League invested $26,161 in advancing women’s leadership through training and $54,450 into the community across 25 different community projects this year.
Incoming Executive Vice President Nicole Zimmerman was also given the opportunity to address the audience, sharing her vision and goals for the upcoming term.
