JFCS of the Suncoast Welcomes Two New Members to its Board of Directors

JFCS of the Suncoast, one of the Florida Suncoast’s preeminent mental health counseling and health and human services providers, is pleased to announce the addition of a new member to its board of directors and the election of a new vice chair. Marc Kanoff is returning to the JFCS Board of Directors, replacing Dean Miller as the vice chair. Victoria Kasdan has joined the board for the first time.
Marc Kanoff – Board Vice Chair, 2022-2024:
Currently a financial advisor and wealth manager at Raymond James, Kanoff returns to the JFCS Board of Directors after a year off. Kanoff was a JFCS board member from 2015-2021 and held several positions, including treasurer, member of the governance committee, and chair of the investment and finance committees. He is a member of the Aviva Senior Living Board of Trustees and its strategic planning committee. Earlier in his career, Kanoff was a senior human resource executive with Bristol-Myers Squibb, a global pharmaceutical company. He also worked as a tax accountant and lawyer for a global accounting firm based in New York City. Kanoff holds a Bachelor of Arts in accounting/economics from Muhlenberg College, Pennsylvania, and a Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University School of Law.
Victoria Kasdan – Board Member, 2022-2024:
Kasdan is the president and CEO of Mission Made Possible, LLC. She is a licensed registered nurse, licensed health, life and annuity agent, and holds a Master of Public Health from University of Illinois, Chicago. Kasdan currently serves as board chair for Making An Impact, Inc. and the Health Council of Central West Florida. She is also a Trustee for the Tidewell Foundation, as well as a member of Junior League of Sarasota, the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH®) – Manasota Chapter, and Manatee County Government’s Feeding Workgroup. Her past affiliations include the Healthy Start Coalition of Sarasota Board, Manatee Tiger Bay Board, Newtown Community Service Coalition, FL-DOH Manatee County Communicable Disease Subcommittee, and Masala Giving Circle.
Dean Miller – Past Board Member, 2016-2022: JFCS would like to thank Dean Miller for his dedication to JFCS since joining the board in 2016. Miller served as the board chair for five years and spent his last year as vice chair. He was also the chair of the investment and governance committees. His term ended in September. Previously, Miller enjoyed an extensive 35-year career as a senior leader in the financial services industry.
