The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee is pleased to welcome Barbara Mazer to its Development team as its Chief Development Strategist.
Barbara has more than 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector. Most recently, she served as the Chief Development Officer of The Florida Orchestra and Executive Director of The Studio@620. Prior, she was a consultant for The Tessitura Network, a global community of arts and cultural organizations, where she worked with development departments across North America to analyze donor data and communicate effectively with philanthropic supporters. Her arts experience also included stints as Director of Development for American Stage (St. Petersburg, FL) and Ruth Eckerd Hall (Clearwater, FL)
She began her career in Jewish communal service at the Leo Yassenoff JCC and Jewish Federation in Columbus, OH.
“Barbara is exactly what we’ve been searching for. Her extensive background in development and her emphasis on data-driven fundraising and communications make her an excellent addition to our team. We are thrilled that she is diving back into the Jewish communal field with our Federation!” says Federation CEO Howard Tevlowitz.
Mazer has a BA and MA in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and lives in St. Petersburg with her children.
