Halfacre Construction Company Hires Two

Halfacre Construction Company, a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, recently welcomed Erin Guzzo as its marketing, proposals and communications manager and Chad Baldwin as an assistant superintendent.
Guzzo possesses more than 20 years of experience in project management, communications, events, media relations, community outreach and business development. In her new position, the marketing professional will explore regional business opportunities and manage the request for proposal and qualification process. Guzzo will also oversee the company’s marketing initiatives, event planning and external communications.
Most recently, Guzzo worked as the marketing and events manager for the Van Wezel Foundation. During her tenure there, she provided strategic marketing support and managed branding, communications, special events and fundraising campaign initiatives. Previously, she held marketing roles in the insurance, real estate and wealth management sectors.

Guzzo earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration management from Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass. She is a graduate of the paralegal studies program at Northeastern University in Boston, Mass.
In his new role, Baldwin will utilize his technical experience to support the company’s superintendents and assist with scheduling, jobsite documentation, compliance and safety standards and quality control and assurance. He will be contributing to the Englewood Elementary School replacement project.
Previously, Baldwin interned with a Georgia-based commercial construction company, where he worked directly with a lead superintendent on a 1 million square foot Amazon facility and supported subcontractors on the build. A self-taught mechanic, he has also interned and assisted at Raymond James with financial plans and performance summaries.

Baldwin received his bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship with a minor in construction management from Western Carolina University in North Carolina.
