Give Back to Local Nonprofits with the Chamber

August 24, 2022 – Sarasota

The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce has created a brand-new event focused on giving back and celebrating nonprofits in the area called Fall for Sarasota.  Fall for Sarasota, presented by Sam’s Club, is an event that will unite businesses and nonprofits in service.  The event will take place on Friday, September 23^rd from 12 – 5 p.m.  The day will begin with a kick-off rally and lunch at CORE SRQ for our volunteer groups, and then from 1 – 3 p.m. volunteers will head to various nonprofits around the area and complete service projects.  To finish out the day, groups will head back to CORE SRQ for a Community Celebration Showcase.  At the Community Celebration Showcase, people will be able to explore vendor tables, enjoy music, food, beer and wine, network, and enter to win airline ticket prize drawings thanks to Southwest Airlines.  Anyone is welcome to attend the showcase for only $5.

The nonprofits who need just two hours of your time: Animal Rescue Coalition, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, Inc., Children First, Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Education Foundation of Sarasota County, Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc., Loveland Center, Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Operation Warrior Resolution, SunCoast Blood Centers, The Florida Center for Early Childhood, The Haven, The Venice Symphony, Tidewell Hospice

“The Sarasota Chamber serves over 200 non-profit members who are invaluable to our region. We could not be more excited to dedicate this new event to connecting our nonprofit members to the community as a whole and our many corporate members,” says Heather Kasten, President/CEO of the Sarasota Chamber.

There are four simple ways people can get involved:

1. Nonprofits may submit a service project for volunteers to complete on our website
2. Volunteer as an individual or a team to help a nonprofit for two hours
3. Showcase your company or nonprofit as a tabletop vendor at the Community Celebration Showcase
4. Attend the showcase and explore all the companies that work to make Sarasota a great place
