Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open Announces Tennis Tournament Dates, Sponsorship Opportunities

The Elizabeth Moore Sarasota Open recently announced its return with this year’s tennis tournament dates taking place April 9 – 16, 2023 at Payne Park in the City of Sarasota. 

The professional tennis tournament has been hosted in Sarasota since 2009. This year marks the second year the event is being held under new ownership. The new owners represent  some of the most successful tennis event organizers in the world and last year, more than 10,000 people attended the week-long event.

“We are so pleased that this tournament attracts so many local fans, as well as people traveling from all across the country,” said Casey Brown, tournament director. “It has truly become more than a tennis tournament with the addition of many social aspects and events.” 

The annual event is played on outdoor green clay courts and is part of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Challenger Tour. With a huge economic impact, the tournament also brings top-tier tennis talent to the area. 

“I am extremely humbled and proud to be the title sponsor for this fantastic event for the past seven years,” said Elizabeth Moore, Sarasota philanthropist and title sponsor since 2017.  “The Sarasota Open not only provides a great sporting event for spectators and participants, but also gives back to the community in meaningful ways, which is something I am extremely passionate about.” 

The Tennis Ball, the event’s concluding gala, will be held at Michael’s On East on Friday, April 14. Proceeds from the event will stay local and go to the Boys & Girls Club of Sarasota and Desoto Counties and the USTA Foundation.
