Tracy Spalsbury has been named director of marketing and communications at the Education Foundation of Sarasota County (EFSC), announced EFSC President Jennifer Vigne.
“We are excited to welcome Tracy to the EFSC team and happy she is bringing her broad and deep experience in developing effective integrated marketing strategies for both private and nonprofit sectors to work for our organization,” said Vigne.
In her new role at EFSC, Spalsbury will be responsible for all aspects of the marketing and communications strategy and building the community’s understanding of and support for the EFSC mission, which is to enhance the potential of students, promote excellence in teaching, and inspire innovation in education, guided by strategic philanthropy.
Spalsbury most recently was the senior vice president of marketing and communications at Sarasota Family YMCA. Prior to that position, she specialized in brand management, including social media marketing, with Feld Entertainment, Ellenton; Tervis Tumbler, Venice; and Accenture/Aquent, Chicago.
Spalsbury earned a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communication from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, South Carolina. She is a member of Florida Public Relations Association Central West Coast Chapter and the Association of National Advertisers. Spalsbury is a board member for the University of South Florida College of Business Digital Marketing Certificate Program.
