Enrollment at Easterseals Academy for the 2021-2022 school year is open for students with autism and related developmental disabilities in grades Kindergarten through 12. Parents can schedule private tours or attend one of the upcoming open house events to tour classrooms and learn more about programming for special needs students.
“Our smaller classroom sizes are structured to help students with unique abilities thrive at their individual goals while still gaining valuable interactions with peers,” Principal Leatha Pfanmiller said. “Individual plans are integrated with traditional education goals as well as diverse enrichment programs, providing our students a well-rounded, purposeful education platform.”
The Academy’s Lower School includes grades Kindergarten through 8where individualized components of a student’s plan address instruction, communication, social skills, development and behaviors that all contribute to academic success.
The Upper School provides two tracks for students, vocational as well as preparatory. Both courses of study transition students to life after high school. Students engage in community-based instruction that includes arts, field trips and other creative elements that enhance their educational experience.
Interested parents can attend one of two open house events, which are scheduled for Saturday, April 24 and Saturday, May 8. For more information about the open house events, call Patrick Sweeney at 941-271-9857 or email admissions@eastersealsacademy.org.
