DreamLarge Hosts Sell-Out Interactive Speaker Event, Featuring AG Lafley

By  |

A crowd of 200 young professionals, entrepreneurs, and community members came together on Wednesday to experience the first installment of Dreamers & Doers, featuring local changemaker, AG Lafley, former CEO of Procter & Gamble and founding CEO of The Bay. The interactive event included a period of networking for young local visionaries, ranging from high schoolers to career professionals, followed by an open discussion between DreamLarge founder, Anand Pallegar, and Lafley where Pallegar used a live feed with questions from the audience to guide Lafley’s dialogue and conversation.

“At DreamLarge, it’s in our DNA to celebrate innovation, risk-taking, entrepreneurship and strategy. It was an honor to welcome someone who lives at the intersection of all these qualities to our first installment of Dreamers & Doers,” said Pallegar. “It was great to feature such an inspiring leader and connect him to our community through this series. With the success and turn-out of this event, we’re excited to continue introducing local luminaries to young professionals in our community.”

Conversation flowed with Lafley and the audience throughout the evening, featuring the highs and lows of his career leading Procter & Gamble, his reflection on his successes and failures, and some highlights of his life before and after his time at P&G. Some audience questions included curiosity about his inspiration and motivation, advice about cultivating young professionals in the community, and open discussion about his involvement and leadership of The Bay project.

DreamLarge hosted the interactive event at the Michaels on East ballroom, alongside an array of entrepreneurial partners, innovative companies led by young professionals in the Gulf Coast region, such as Adrizer, BOLD, Catalist, RevContent, Sarasota Ford, Sarasota Magazine, S-One, Tervis, and more.  The next installment of the Dreamers & Doers speaker series will be in February of 2020.
