The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) has been awarded a $2,500 grant to support therapy staff by the Kiwanis Foundation of Sarasota County.
The Child Protection Center’s Therapy Program has been providing clinical therapy for survivors of child abuse since 1986. Every child’s abuse experience is different, and the Therapy team meets abuse survivors where they are in their journey towards healing. The Child Protection Center is the only provider in Sarasota County specialized in child physical and sexual abuse treatments, free of charge.
The Therapists at CPC have been recognized as exceeding quality standards during clinical monitoring by the Florida Department of Health the last few years and specialize in trauma-informed interventions to provide hope and healing to victims that have suffered unimaginable trauma. As CPC’s Campus of Healing in North Port continues to grow and meet the demands of Sarasota County’s population growth, the need for its’ Therapy programs also increases.
The Child Protection Center’s (CPC) mission is the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse, as the organization envisions a community where children are safe from abuse and free to thrive. For over 40 years, CPC has been serving Sarasota and DeSoto Counties in the State of Florida and is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.
