Child Protection Center Employee of the Year

The Child Protection Center, Inc. (CPC) announces Lou Ann Linn as the agency’s 2024 Employee of the Year. She is recognized for her outstanding work ethic and commitment to bringing vulnerable children into safety.

“Lou Ann has been instrumental in the success of the Child Protection Center’s fundraising events,” says Sheila Miller, CPC’s VP of Philanthropy. “Lou Ann sets the stage for event success. Throughout her time of employment at CPC, Lou Ann has been a reliable, productive employee who works well with all department staff. Lou Ann values the mission of CPC and it is obvious that all of her efforts are to ensure that no child is put on a waiting list for services.”

Lou Ann is a member of CPC’s Development Team and has been serving their mission of the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse for going on six years. Peer nominated, this award is testament of her dedication, passion, and hard work year-round. Serving as the Community Engagement Associate, Lou Ann leads CPC’s events, fosters relationships with donors, volunteers, and community members, and supports the agency in achieving its mission. “I am beyond grateful to receive this award,” says Lou Ann.  “Having been voted by my peers for this award is a true honor.  The Child Protection Center is such an amazing organization and knowing my job helps provide a safe outlet for those most vulnerable is what makes coming to work every day so fulfilling.”

The Child Protection Center’s (CPC) mission is the prevention, intervention, and treatment of child abuse, as the organization envisions a community where children are safe from abuse and free to thrive. For over 40 years, CPC has been serving Sarasota and DeSoto Counties in the State of Florida and is accredited by the National Children’s Alliance.
