SCF Extends Dual Enrollment Deadline for High School Students

By  |

The State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) Early College Program is extending the Fall 2020 deadline for qualified high school students to enroll until Aug. 1.

Dual Enrollment enables qualified public, private and home education students to enroll in college credit courses offered by SCF. The credits they earn count toward both a college degree and a high school diploma, and all dual enrolled students have access to the SCF resources including the Library, Academic Resource Center, Student Solution Center and the Advising Center.

Dual enrollment at SCF is available to qualified high school students in Manatee and Sarasota counties free of charge. Programs include Dual Enrollment and Early Admission for rising high school seniors, and Accelerated Dual Enrollment for rising juniors.

Students are urged to complete the process as early as possible and should work closely with their high school counselor to determine appropriate coursework for high school prior to summer break. As PERT, ACT and SAT testing reopens, students will be allowed to test this summer for the Fall 2020 term. Please remember students may PERT test twice per calendar year but no more than once per semester.

Dual Enrollment courses at SCF are offered in the fall and spring and can be taken at campuses in Bradenton, Venice, Lakewood Ranch and online.
