Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties Welcomes Three New Board Members

Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties welcomes three new members to its 2024-2025 Board of Directors: Michelle Mitchell, COO of Mitchell Family Interests, and Katie Hollingsworth, Nurse Practitioner at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Teen Club member and sophomore at Pine View School Jack L. will also join as the STAR (Students Taking Active Roles) Leadership Training Program representative, ensuring that youth voices are represented on the board.

“We are thrilled to welcome these outstanding leaders to our Board. Their expertise will strengthen our mission and impact on local youth and families,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.

The new appointees join 18 local leaders including an executive committee with Board Chair Ken Freeman, Gartner Executive Programs; Chair-Elect David Arch, Chairman and CEO of Blistex Inc.; Treasurer Jaime DiDomenico, Former President and Owner of Cool Today; and Immediate Past Chair Meghan O. Serrano, Esq., Shumaker.

“By combining the expertise of experienced leaders with the fresh perspectives of our youth representative, we strengthen our ability to grow, innovate, and expand our impact. Their contributions will be key to advancing our vision and ensuring great futures for the youth we serve,” said Freeman.

The 2024-2025 Board of Directors is dedicated to leading transformative initiatives, including capital projects in Newtown, North Port, and Arcadia, expanding the reach and impact of academic and leadership programs, and strengthening safety measures across all Clubs in Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
