ArtCenter Manatee Elects New Board Members
June 28, 2023 – Bradenton
Under the direction of Executive Director Carla Nierman, a
17-year ArtCenter veteran, and the dedication of the ArtCenter board and staff, ArtCenter Manatee continues to prepare for a future that promises growth and expansion fueled by an on-going commitment to excellence in leadership and service. This is an exciting time for the ArtCenter with who is in a Capital Campaign to raise funds for a new, iconic facility in the heart of downtown Bradenton.
ArtCenter Manatee is pleased to announce the election of three new board members.
Jan Pullen, former Head of School at St. Stephens in Bradenton. Jan is an accomplished and respected administrator and educator. She served at St Stephens for 35 years before retiring in 2023. Jan brings her can do attitude, reputation for achievement and her caring spirit to the ArtCenter Board. Jan is a sustaining member of Service Club of Manatee County.
Joining Jan is Carol Bintz. Carol is a retired COO of the Toledo Museum of Art where she held executive positions for 25 years. The Ohio Museum Association voted Carol Professional of the Year for her outstanding leadership and service. Carol brings her financial acumen, expertise in energy sustainability and her commitment to serve to the ArtCenter. Carol is also a member of Bradenton Rotary.
Andrew Gerth joins Jan and Carol on the Board. Andrew is a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch.Andrew’s focus is on serving his clients and he follows the deep-seated Merrill tradition of participating in the communities they serve. This drives his interest in volunteering with organizations in our community like the ArtCenter.
The Board of Directors is committed to implementing a strategy for the future, both short- and long-term. Other members include: Rob Moran, President; Christine Meyer, 1st Vice President; Bruce Body, Treasurer; Carol Krah, Secretary; Roberto Andreos, Member-at large; James Brandys; Ted Camp; Linda Enberg; Mary Hoagland; Donna Morrison; Daryl Shepherd; Kathy Simon-McDonald; and Jacquelyn Taylor.
With all changes, one thing that won’t change is ArtCenter Manatee’s commitment to being the premier visual arts center in Manatee County and beyond.
