Art Center Sarasota Executive Director Stepping Down After Three Years

Art Center Sarasota announces that Kinsey Robb, who has served as executive director since 2021, will be stepping down to pursue a new role within the visual arts nonprofit sector. She will be based in New York City. During her tenure, Robb successfully navigated the organization through the challenges of the pandemic, while spearheading significant revitalization efforts, including building renovations and the expansion of both education and exhibition programming. To honor her contributions, Art Center Sarasota’s board of directors will host a reception on Tuesday, September 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event, open to the public, will celebrate her leadership and the organization’s exciting future plans. “On behalf of the entire board of directors, we extend our deepest gratitude to Kinsey for her exceptional leadership and dedication over the past years,” says Ramsey Frangie, board president. “Her inspirational guidance through unprecedented times has been instrumental in our growth and success. Frangie adds that the organization will launch a search for a new executive director to lead the organization forward soon. “Our plans include continuing to grow alongside The Bay project and ensuring Art Center Sarasota remains a vital part of this transformative development. We look forward to finding the next visionary leader to guide us through this next chapter.”

Reflecting on her tenure as executive director at Art Center Sarasota, Robb says the experience “has been immensely rewarding. I am constantly inspired by the talent, enthusiasm, and dedication of our artists and the Sarasota community. As I look ahead, I am excited about Art Center Sarasota’s growth and evolution. I feel incredibly fortunate to have called this vibrant place my home and look forward to staying connected with the many friends and colleagues I’ve had the privilege to work with.”
