Annual Sarasota Chamber Breakfast Hosts 400+ Business Leaders

Over 400 attendees of the 2022 Annual Chamber Breakfast learned about research-based leadership tools to help with retaining employees from keynote speaker, Natalie Johnson of ViDL Solutions. The event presented by Shumaker was held on Friday, March 25 at the Hyatt Regency Sarasota. 

During the program, the community also honored Robert Lane of Kerkering Barberio with the Spirit of Sarasota Award, sponsored by HH Staffing Services. “The award embodies someone who has dedicated their time, talents, and treasures to make this great city what it is. This award goes to those who do it because they want, not because they have to or because they are paid to do it,” said Darrin Rohr, President/CEO of HH Staffing Services,

Robert Lane was recognized for his 30+ year career commitment to making Sarasota a community that provides opportunities and quality of life to so many through his numerous non-profit leadership and board roles in the community and entire region. During his speech, Lane encourages participants to get involved in the community. President/CEO Heather Kasten and Chairman of the Board, Dennis Murphy also shared updates on local issues and upcoming events.

About the Speaker: Natalie Johnson oversees business development, strategy, and innovation as Chief Visionary Officer of ViDL Solutions. She has 30 years of experience teaching, training, coaching, and consulting. Additionally, she works directly with clients, providing consulting, training, and coaching services. Natalie is known for her engaging and high-energy personality, approachable style, and ability to help people align their choices with their purpose and values.  

About the Awardee: Robert Lane serves as managing shareholder of Kerkering Barberio. As a shareholder, he is ultimately responsible for numerous audits and reviews of entities in a variety of industries, including large nonprofits, general contractors, manufacturers, and other organizations. His previous experience includes financial, and compliance audits with a national accounting firm. Mr. Lane frequently presents on nonprofit accounting, succession planning, risk management, and other business issues. Mr. Lane joined Kerkering, Barberio & Co. in 1986 and was admitted as a shareholder in 1991.
