All Faiths Food Bank Holding Pop-up Food Distribution
October 16, 2024 | Sarasota
In the wake of Hurricane Milton – as well as Hurricanes Debby and Helene before that – tens of thousands of residents and hundreds of area businesses have been impacted. In an effort to help residents who have experienced challenges in the wake of the recent storms, All Faiths Food Bank and the Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee have organized a pop-up hurricane relief food distribution to take place on the Jewish Federation campus (580 McIntosh Rd., Sarasota) on Sunday, October 20, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Residents in need of food are invited to attend and receive a variety of groceries, including bottled water, meats, produce, and non-perishable items. Additionally, the Jewish Federation will be distributing Amazon gift cards to people on a first-come, first-served basis.
*The event is open to the public – all who are in need are invited to attend.*
“We want area families struggling in the wake of the storms to know that we are here for them,” said All Faiths Food Bank President and CEO Nelle S. Miller. “We are proud to stand with the Jewish Federation to help community members in need while they work tirelessly to get back on their feet and return their lives to normalcy.”
