Creative Liberties ARCOS Gallery Residency Opportunity

Apply for a unique residency that provides affordable studio and gallery space in an art-focused environment, offering artists a valuable platform to create, exhibit, and grow.

Creative Liberties at ARCOS Gaze Gallery: View work by artist-in-residence Beck Lane, celebrated for a multimedia approach that has captivated collectors worldwide. Lane has been described as “prolific” and “a painter’s painter,” and is considered by many as “the future of painting.” The ARCOS gallery, 340 Central

Ave., Sarasota, is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Join Creative Liberties for its second “Limelight Artists Night,” a celebration of creativity featuring the diverse works of 37 studio and featured artists, Thursday, April 3, 4-7 p.m., at both of Creative Liberties’ Limelight locations: 901B Apricot Ave. and 927 Lime Ave. Enjoy an evening of art, connection, and inspiration, with lite bites and beverages.

Creative Liberties joins the Second Annual Art Crawl Trolley Tour, Friday, April 11, featuring over 20 galleries across Sarasota’s arts districts, including Main Street, Burns Court, and the Limelight District. Trolleys run every 15 minutes from 4-8 p.m. Tickets are $25; $5 from each ticket supports the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County. Tours begin at the Trolley Cottage, 1826 4th St., Sarasota. Chaz 51 Steakhouse and Creative Liberties present Artful Indulgence: A Taste of Art on Wednesday, April 16, 6-8 p.m., at Chaz 51 Steakhouse, Bird Bay Plaza, 549 US 41 Bypass North Venice. This unique evening blends fine dining with fine art, featuring gourmet stations, a silent art auction, and the chance to meet local artists. Each guest will receive a take-home wine glass, complete with a pour of red or white wine, to help savor the evening in style. Tickets are $95 per person and available at Chaz51Steakhouse.com and CreativeLiberties.net.

Bring the whole family to Family Art Day, Saturday, April 26, 9:30 a.m.-noon. Enjoy creating art together with Shelley Kishpaugh. Projects are suitable for all ages and skill levels. All supplies are included. This is a free program, made possible by generous funding from the Johnson Singer Arts & Education Fund.

CALL TO ARTISTS! Creative Liberties is accepting applications for its Artists-in-Residence program at ARCOS Gallery in Sarasota’s Rosemary Art & Design District. This two-month residency offers local artists affordable studio and gallery space in a dynamic, art-focused environment. Up to three collaborating artists can participate at a time, with a requirement to occupy the space at least four days per week during gallery hours. A nominal fee applies.
