Women On The Scene
Sloane Bellante
Operating Partner at SQUEEZE Massage
Sloane Bellante’s thoughtful narrative of how she came to open SQUEEZE Massage teems with enough incidental jokes to amuse a boatful of dads. However, in describing the knots she’s sensitively smoothed to bring this new massage experience to Sarasota, it’s very clear she doesn’t take her new endeavor lightly.
“We provide a flexible, fully people-centric experience where luxury is affordable and convenient. SQUEEZE has worked the kinks out of receiving an ideal massage experience.” Let the puns begin.
Sloane describes a highly personalized process that paradoxically begins on an app.
“You book, pay and even tip privately and conveniently,” she explains. “All massages include your choice of deep tissue, heat, percussion, and aromatherapy at no additional charge. Guests can use HSA or FSA with a valid doctors order to pay for their massage, and therapist posts an online bio describing their offerings, expertise, and reviews.” Another great feature of the lux, eight-suite space? A “READY” button under each table to let your therapist know when you’re ready, further reducing chances for bubble-bursting moments.
When discussing her staff, it’s clear that clients aren’t the only ones at the center of Sloane’s business plan, describing a considered, multi-tiered vetting and interview process that incorporates personal, professional, and practical criteria.
“We cultivate a team approach. All full time employees are offered benefits, including insurance, time off, and continuing education support” making SQUEEZE an inside-out experience.
How does this entrepreneur, wife, mother of two tweens, and relative newcomer to town manage her pressure? In immersive and intuitive ways ranging from obtaining a yoga instruction certification to being involved at her children’s schools.
“I initiated friendships.” She describes Sarasota’s welcoming atmosphere and then chuckles, adding. “I got out of my comfort zone. With Sarasota and SQUEEZE Massage, I’ve found a life that feels part of a wonderful community that I can give back to.” App-tly put.
