Executive Chef of Bistro at the Sarasota Art Museum (SAM)

As the executive chef of Bistro at the Sarasota Art Museum (SAM) for the last five years, Chef Kaytlin Dangaran has been serving farm-fresh cuisine, working alongside a team of experts at Constellation Culinary Group.  Together they deliver chef-driven menus and over-the-top catering to special events statewide, including Sarasota’s cultural hub.

Dangaran, a Tampa native who now lives in Sarasota with her family, began her culinary journey in her mother’s kitchen, honing her skills at Manhattan’s French Culinary Institute. She gained valuable experience in trendy New York and San Francisco Italian kitchens before bringing her expertise to Sarasota and SAM.

Her creative vision brought to life meticulously-curated daily dishes, numerous pop-up events, themed dinners and cooking classes, making Bistro a beloved destination.

Dangaran was recently promoted to Corporate Chef of Dining and Events for national food service leader Elior North America, overseeing culinary operations throughout the Southeast region at four additional Elior North America brands. She will oversee accounts in Florida, including The Sarasota Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg (MFA St. Pete), Miami’s Pérez Art Museum, Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science, The Adrienne Arsht Center for Performing Arts and Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach.

She will also manage the Washington D.C. area, including Monticello, The Folger Shakespeare Library and Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens collaborating with Design Cuisine catering. In North Carolina, she will handle culinary operations for professional dining at Honeywell in Charlotte and Bandwidth in Raleigh. She will also oversee the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up and its restaurant, The Whitman, which travels to cities nationwide.

There’s no doubt Dangaran’s culinary operations experience makes her a leader in her field and her menu development for events, weddings, meetings, and catering services at offsite venues are coveted.
