Repairs to the building are progressing nicely, with improvements being made every day. The Box Office is now open and taking new ticket orders. Patrons planning to buy tickets in person at the Box Office are asked to drive up Van Wezel Way and park in the circle near the Box Office. The parking lot adjacent to the Hall is still going through cleanup from Hurricane Milton. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.VanWezel.org or by calling the Box Office at 941-263-6799.

The Van Wezel administrative staff members are returning to the Hall this week on a rolling basis. The Hall is still on track to reopen for public performances beginning January 2, 2025.

“I’m so thankful for my hardworking staff who have worked tirelessly to repair and restore the Van Wezel,” shares Mary Bensel, Executive Director of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall. “Their swift action to begin restoration immediately after the storm passed is why we are able to reopen. I’m thrilled to welcome our patrons back for the incredible Broadway productions of Funny Girl and Moulin Rouge! The Musical, along with our rescheduled shows like The Commodores and Air Supply. Having the community back in the theater will be a wonderful moment.”

Patrons can purchase tickets to the 2025 lineup of shows at www.VanWezel.org, by calling the Box Office at 941-263-6799, or by visiting the Box Office Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Groups of 10 or more should contact 941-263-6726.
