The Library Foundation for Sarasota County is thrilled to announce award-winning author Ann Patchett as the featured speaker at its 13th annual Love Our Libraries author luncheon, to be held on February 7, 2025, at The Ora in Sarasota.
The Love Our Libraries Author Luncheon is the nonprofit Library Foundation’s signature fundraiser. To date, the annual sellout event has raised more than two million dollars to support Sarasota County public libraries. Since its founding in 2011, the Library Foundation has secured more than $8.5 million dollars in private funds to help ensure a bright future for Sarasota’s libraries.
Patchett is a celebrated author, devoted reader, and a champion of literary culture. She has written 13 books and has been the recipient of numerous awards and fellowships, including a National Humanities Medal, England’s Orange Prize, the PEN/Faulkner Award, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Her novel, The Dutch House, was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Her books have been both New York Times Notable Books and New York Times bestsellers. Her work has been translated into more than thirty languages.
