November 1, 2024 | Sarasota
Teen Court of Sarasota has served as an alternative to traditional disciplinary action and criminal justice for minors, empowering young people to take accountability for their actions while building a foundation for success. With the addition of these board members, Teen Court is positioned to expand its outreach and further impact the lives of Sarasota’s youth.
“We are excited to welcome these three talented individuals. Their unique backgrounds and diverse experience will make them a great asset to our board and the entire organization. Lisi Brannen, Jessica Fairweather. and Michelle Stencik will join a group of board members with a shared passion for fostering positive change in our community’s youth and believe in the importance of a second chance. ” Heather Todd, CEO.
The new board members join Teen Court at a critical time, as the organization is increasing its services and strengthening its programs to address the evolving needs of the Sarasota youth.
Lisi Brannen, has worked at The Salvation Army, and has extensive experience working with young adults, particularly those who are incarcerated. Lisi is an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous and has faced personal tragedies that will make her fit on our board, one that will shape our future. Jessica Fairweather is the Director, Senior Corporate Counsel for FCCI Insurance and is a Florida State University College of Law graduate. Jessica has extensive experience with the legal profession and will provide a valuable perspective on our Teen Court Sessions. Michelle Stencik is employed at the Coca-Cola Company as Director of Revenue Growth Management Execution. Michelle has two children who volunteer at Teen Court of Sarasota, Inc. and has previously provided fundraising support and ideas that have
benefited the young people we serve. We look forward to Michelle’s efforts on our Board as it relates to fundraising and special events.
