Unlock a world of free resources, services, and opportunities by signing up for a Manatee Library Card in September.

The Manatee County Public Library System (MCPLS) is celebrating National Library Card Sign-Up Month for the entire month. A library card is more than just a key to borrow books—it is the gateway to a wealth of digital resources, educational tools, and community programs. With a Manatee Library Card, guests can access e-books, audiobooks, online courses, language learning platforms, and so much more, all at no cost.

“Our library card is your passport to endless learning and discovery,” said Tammy Parrot, Library Services Manager. “From students to lifelong learners, everyone can benefit from the resources our library system offers. We encourage all residents to join us in celebrating National Library Card Sign-Up Month by getting their own card and exploring everything we have to offer.”

To add to the excitement, everyone who signs up for a Manatee Library Card during September will receive exclusive, branded library swag—while supplies last!

“This is a great way to discover all the library has to offer,” said Manatee County District 2 Commissioner Amanda Ballard. “That card opens up so much.”
