Sarasota County resident Ralph Monti, the award-winning author of four non-fiction books, including the widely acclaimed I Remember Brooklyn: Memories From Famous Sons and Daughters, has authored his first novel.
Titled Shooting Bogies, the book is a page-turning crime thriller with twists and turns and doses of dark humor. It features a big-money golf hustler who gets inadvertently entangled with the mob, callous investment bankers, a treasonous arms dealer, and duplicitous agents working for the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Agency, and the CIA.
Monti’s novel has been receiving high praise. Amazon and Goodreads readers have given Shooting Bogies a stellar five-star rating. Martina Sette, a book reviewer for OnlineBookClub.org, also rated the book five out of five stars, further confirming its excellence.
