Fresh Fridays Dances Its Way to Main Street in April
March 20, 2024 – Sarasota
Fresh Fridays is dancing its way into April and ready to sweep downtown Sarasota with a dance revolution on Main Street, its new location for the new month. The popular downtown community event is throwing a block party boogie on April 5, from 7-10 pm, between Palm Avenue and Pineapple Avenue, for their newest event, Dance Dance Downtown Sarasota.
Dance Dance Downtown Sarasota invites the community to strut their stuff on Main Street and feel the energetic rhythm of downtown. Attendees will enjoy electrifying live music from Society Hill, power up with fresh fuel from local restaurants, and bust a move with a special dance activity for the event. “The highlight of Fresh Fridays is our energizing musical performances that have people dancing,” says Joseph Grano, President of Next-Mark, and Fresh Fridays event organizer and promoter, “so we thought we would make it official and make this event a celebration of dance.”
Fresh Fridays is thrilled to introduce their newest musical guest for this month’s event, Society Hill! Whether you groove to the smooth tones of Frank Sinatra or the pop beats of Dua Lipa, they’ve mastered it all. This six-piece band brings an elegant mix of voices, talent, and personality to every party. Partygoers will want to dance the night away to their foot tapping performance!
As always, guests can fuel their dance moves and get their tastebuds bouncing with jammin’ bites and beverages from fresh and flavorful downtown hospitality partners.
To turn up the party another notch, there will be a special dance “challenge” in store. Those looking to show off their fast footwork can break a sweat and play against friends and family in the ultimate dance-off with a “revolutionary” game! Finally, as is Fresh Fridays tradition, free signature giveaways will be handed out while supplies last to light up the night.
“We want to transform Main Street into a giant dancefloor and infuse downtown with uninhibited energy and movement,” adds Joseph Grano.
Accessible and convenient parking will be available at Palm Avenue and State Street parking garages. Guests can stay up to date by following Fresh Fridays on their social media channels or by visiting their website at www.downtownsarasotadid.com/fresh-fridays.
