Fresh Fridays Invites All to Downtown Sarasota’s Slice of Paradise

As we head into spring and the warmer weather upon us, Fresh Fridays gears up for a night highlighting our slice of paradise. The popular downtown community block party is back on State Street, March 1, from 7-10 pm, between Lemon Avenue and S. Orange Avenue, for an all-out gathering with their newest event, Neighbors & Newcomers.

Neighbors & Newcomers welcomes visitors and locals alike to experience the culture that makes downtown Sarasota shine. Attendees will enjoy live entertainment from the local band Southbound 75, downtown bites and beverages, and inclusive fun and games. “Whether you’re visiting or here to stay,” says Joseph Grano, President of Next-Mark, and Fresh Fridays event organizer and promoter, “there’s so much to discover and so many ways to immerse yourself in downtown culture.”

Fresh Fridays is excited to feature a local country band who has gained much popularity throughout the country with their infectious energy and artistry. From making their mark in Music City to garnering the recognition of critics and industry professionals, Southbound 75’s music has undeniable appeal. Partygoers won’t be able to help but dance the night away to their exhilarating performances.

When guests need a break from the action, they will have a delectable line up of refreshments from staple downtown hospitality partners to refuel, including Mattison’s, Art Ovation Hotel and others. 

In addition to spectacular live music and mouthwatering bites, attendees can take a load off and keep it casual with some leisurely lawn games such as Cornhole, oversized Connect Four and Jenga. 

“We want Fresh Fridays to not only be a celebration of downtown Sarasota but also an introduction to the culture here that is warm and welcoming,” adds Joseph Grano.
