Magic & Mystery: An Indoor Evening Event
July 24, 2023 – Sarasota
Creative Liberties Artist Studios and Gallery, based on a foundation of artists helping artists, continues its season’s offerings with “Magic & Mystery,” Saturday, July 29, 7-10 p.m., at 927 N. Lime Avenue, Sarasota. This indoor market features area vendors selling handcrafted items, angel readings, food and drink, raffle prizes and wickedly exciting performances and interactive experiences. Guests are encouraged to dress in their magical best. Entertainment includes performances by illusionist Marshall Chandler, Light Dancer Ace of Wands, stilt performer KC Allen, and live poetry by Steve McAllister. Tickets are $15 at the door or available for purchase at www.CreativeLiberties.net. Food and entertainment are included in the ticket price.
Creative Liberties Artist Studios and Gallery was founded in November 2021 by Barbara Gerdeman and Elizabeth Goodwill, both artists and art educators. Gerdeman explains that Magic & Mystery was planned and coordinated by Stephanie Grae of Grae Productions, who produces the popular Art Lab events at Sarasota’s Art Ovation Hotel. Specialty lighting effects will be provided by LimeLite SRQ and Michael Murphy. Gerdeman adds that the 10 “amazing and magical” artisanal vendors include Artafacts Pottery & More, artist Ben Saucier; Human Crystal Dragons; Send Art Instead; HiVoltage Ware; Mona Lisa Candles; Apothecary of the Wicked; Lady Lotus by Lesley; Carlson Creations and angel readings by Diana Saturna. Guests will be able make their own candy apple bars and enjoy tasty food on sticks.
Creative Liberties Artist Studios and Gallery is now at two locations in Sarasota’s Limelight District: 901-B Apricot Avenue and 927 N. Lime Avenue. Its third location, Creative Liberties Artist Residencies at Gaze Modern, is located in the ARCOS Apartments, 340 Central Ave., Sarasota.
