Forty Carrots Campus Expansion Cattlemen Road

Forty Carrots Family Center’s Generations of Change expansion campaign reaches a milestone as it breaks ground on a new building for Mental Health and Parenting Education services. Since 2020, Forty Carrots has increased child and family mental health services over 70%, and the expansion will allow for a 100% increase in Mental Health and 30% in Parenting Education services over the next several years. 

“The need for Forty Carrots’ prevention, intervention and treatment services is critical and timely in the face of increasing hardship in our community. Over the past 30 years, Forty Carrots has grown exponentially, serving nearly 5,000 clients annually.  Expanding our Parenting Education and Mental Health services and our unique approach to partnerships allows us to serve all families efficiently and broadly, regardless of ability to pay,” said Susan Travers, Forty Carrots Board Chair.  

The Generations of Change expansion includes a new 6900 sq ft building on 1.72 acres at 1350 Cattlemen Rd.  It offers a Child and Family Therapy Center with 6 therapy rooms, intake office, waiting area and Parenting Education Center equipped with flexible capacity with moveable wall and observation capabilities, virtual program rooms, administrative offices, and program staff workspaces.

The addition of the Cattlemen campus allows for the expansion of early education services and administrative offices in the existing buildings on S. Tuttle Avenue. 

“This is a transformational time for Forty Carrots, and for our community. Having the early support, generosity, and commitment of our Visionary Circle donors is an inspiration and allowed us the ability to move forward with the first step of the campaign, which is the new campus building,” states Michelle Kapreilian, Forty Carrots CEO. Visionary Circle donors to date include: Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation, Mitchell & Dawn Epstein, Louis & Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust, Steinwachs Family Foundation, and Jim & Susan Travers Family. 

The Visionary Circle along with a group of dedicated Forty Carrots donors together have committed $7.5 million toward the $10 million campaign goal to encompass increase in services, financial sustainability, and the building. “Now that the new space is becoming a reality, we can focus on the next stage of support for the significant demand in desperately needed services,” said Kapreilian.
