The Sarasota Ballet Launches Relevé

The Sarasota Ballet launched its newest patron program, Relevé, this month to engage younger audiences (ages 21-45) within the community and provide opportunity to a growing network of dance and arts supporters in Sarasota. As one of Sarasota’s leading arts and culture organizations, The Sarasota Ballet is acutely aware of the impact that younger patrons have within the community and throughout the arts.

“Relevé, at its core, serves as an opportunity for the Ballet to simply be enjoyed by more people,” explains Lauren Stroman, Development Director for The Sarasota Ballet. “For someone who has never set foot inside a theater, attending a performance might be intimidating, and we want to change that. With the creation of Relevé, The Sarasota Ballet hopes to engage and embrace younger audiences in our community,” adding “creating a space for young people to experience live ballet, perhaps even for the first time, or in welcoming them back to the theater, is the initial step in cultivating the next generation of arts leaders, enthusiasts, and supporters.”

Through a range of program offerings, Relevé members receive invitations to performances, events, and meet-ups throughout the Season, allowing them to connect directly with artists, staff, and the leaders who make up The Sarasota Ballet. Relevé also offers the opportunity for members to provide philanthropic support, volunteer, and help The Sarasota Ballet welcome future leaders and audience members. Through Relevé’s dedication to providing arts accessibility and building younger audiences, The Sarasota Ballet looks to the future with optimism and anticipation for new enthusiasts in the theatre as the curtain rises.
