April 22, 2022 – Sarasota
On Tuesday, 4/26, Glasser/Schoenbaum is hosting a pop-up giving event at the Campus of Caring on 17th street in North Sarasota. The outdoor event will celebrate 17 nonprofits benefitting in the 2022 Giving Challenge, a 24-hour online fundraising campaign for hundreds of nonprofits in Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, and Charlotte counties, presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County.
The two-hour event will feature live vocals by local artist Shantel Norman, and will be catered by Nancy’s Bar-B-Q. Laptops and volunteers will be on hand to assist with online donations, which will be matched up to $100 by The Patterson Foundation.
Taking place on the first day of the Giving Challenge, the free, family-friendly event will be attended by nonprofit staff, volunteers, clients, and supporters of all kinds. Registration is open and strongly encouraged.
“The Giving Challenge is a huge opportunity for nonprofits in our region. We want to support our campus agencies so that they can make the most of it,” says Charlene Altenhain, Executive Director of The Glasser/Schoenbaum Human Services Center. “And with all of the work they’re putting into their campaigns, they deserve to have fun while they’re at it!”
The Campus of Caring pop-up event is sponsored by Manatee Air Heating & Cooling and Sabal Palm Bank.
The 2022 Giving Challenge is presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation.
