“Caring Comes First” is Bonti Burgess’s guiding principle. In all she does, Bonti’s compassionate spirit shines through. “I really enjoy taking care of people,” she says, which is admirable considering she successfully raised two daughters as a single mother while establishing and building Bright Day Home Healthcare.  

Bonti founded Bright Day based on a passion for providing truly exceptional home healthcare. In its 10th year now, Bonti states, “Our success comes from the attention given to our clients.” Bright Day’s team focuses on private, individualized care throughout Sarasota County and is one of only a few skilled private duty companies here locally that is woman owned and not a franchise, she notes.  Bonti shared a recent compliment from one of her clients who said after his wife’s customary Bright Day caregiver went on vacation, “all the girls who have filled in for Grace have been absolutely amazing and I couldn’t be happier with your company and care that my wife has received.” This satisfaction expressed by her client fills Bonti with joy and is the reason she continues to strive for excellence.

Accredited by the Joint Commission, which is the Gold Standard, Bright Day provides a full range of home healthcare services from CNA’s (certified nursing assistants) and home health aides on up to skilled nursing in all home settings including residential homes, assisted living communities, and rehabilitation centers. Bonti’s clientele typically range in age from 70–100+, and no matter what assistance a client requires, Bonti’s team will design a plan of care customized to each person.

Hard work and kindness are central to Bonti’s ethics, whether it’s matching clients and caregivers or currently serving on the Board of Trustees for the Artists Series Concerts. “I’m just really blessed to be part of this wonderful community.”
