In an industry where success is often measured by numbers, Darcie Duncan has instead built her business on the core belief that success is about helping people. For the last 20 years, Darcie’s drive and ability to put people first has elevated Duncan Real Estate from a successful business to a thriving community. 

Rooted in a culture of integrity and connection, Darcie and her team create a personalized experience for clients by listening to their needs and taking time to get to know them. “Every family has a story, and to be able to help and share in that story is really special,” she says. Clients are treated as part of the Duncan team, and as in every good team, communication is key. “It’s important that clients feel comfortable, especially because we understand the importance of what they are trusting us to do.” 

Darcie credits this relational approach, as well as her deep ties to the community as an Anna Maria Island native and active community member, for her team’s ability to provide clients with access to services and resources beyond real estate. “We work in real estate, but we are also a connector for our clients,” she says. 

Personal connection has also been pivotal to her professional development over the course of her 31-year career. “I am really fortunate to have had some great mentors who have had an incredible impact on my life, and that has motivated me to be a good role model for my team and in the community.” Darcie, who has served as the Chair of the Board for the Manatee Chamber of Commerce and is currently a community advocate for the PACE Center for Girls, says “It’s important to give back to the community that gives to you.”
