Dr. Jill Morris says she’s always been “kind of a pioneer.” She spent her teen years in Arcadia. After graduating from the University Florida College of Dentistry, she moved to the Gulf Coast, where she founded World Class Dentistry in 1987. She’s been restoring smiles ever since.

Dr. Morris specializes in cosmetic dentistry, including complex full-mouth reconstruction. In a career of healing, she remembers one patient in particular, a 24-year-old woman recovering from bulimia. Repeated vomiting had eaten away the enamel on her teeth, destroying some down to the gum line. Dr. Morris resurfaced the surviving teeth with inlays and veneers and rebuilt her patient’s bite—and her self-esteem. “It was a life-changing experience for her to get her smile back,” says Dr. Morris. “There’s a spiritual side to what I do. It helps the spirit of the patient.”

A solo practitioner at first, Dr. Morris pursued her dreams while raising three children. “I was constantly going back and learning the latest technology.” She was also constantly sharing that knowledge. For a decade, she flew to Nevada four to six times a year to teach full-mouth reconstruction at the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies, a unique program in which practicing dentists from around the world fly in with their patients and their staffs to hone their skills. 

Cutting-edge technology remains a priority at World Class Dentistry, now a family enterprise with her husband, an implant surgeon, and her sons, one who does the orthodontics and the other who runs the in-house lab. Her daughter is in dental school. Dr. Morris has also expanded into holistic as well as biologic dentistry, earning a degree in naturopathic medicine from the American College of Integrative Medicine and Dentistry.

She’s excited about the pioneering possibilities of the future—regrowing teeth, reversing decay.
