Sarasota Memorial Healthcare Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members, John Giglio and Diane Mayer.
“Despite the challenges of this past year, the Healthcare Foundation remained committed to broadening our board representation to support the hospital’s expansion to the south,” said Philip A. Delaney, Jr. board chair. “We are extremely fortunate to add John and Diane, two accomplished leaders from the communities of Venice and Boca Grande.”
John Giglio joined Freedom Boat Club in 2004 as operations manager, becoming co-owner and president of the Club in 2011, and was sole owner, president and CEO until its sale in 2019. He earned a BS in Business Administration from Florida Southern College and an MBA from the University of South Florida. A resident of Nokomis, John is on the executive board of SKY Family YMCA and has served on the board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
Diane Mayer is a former school teacher who has been active with philanthropic organizations in Louisville and Chicago, where she joined the boards of the Field Museum, Brookfield Zoo and Lyric Opera among others. Now a resident of Boca Grande, she’s a past-president of the Woman’s Club, past-chair of the Boca Grande Health Clinic Board and current member of the Boca Grande Health Clinic Foundation Board.
