The Foundation for Church of the Palms awards a $9,695.84 grant to Habitat for Humanity Sarasota (Habitat Sarasota) in support of Lives Transformed, The Campaign for Hammock Place.

The generosity of the Foundation for Church of The Palms will benefit eight families moving into their new home in Hammock Place. The grant provides funding for an appliance package for each home.

Forty families will call Hammock Place home, a first of its kind, affordable, deed restricted community developed by Habitat for Humanity Sarasota. The prescription for improved health, happiness, higher education, financial stability, and a brighter future starts with permanent, affordable housing.

Habitat for Humanity Sarasota receives a grant from the Foundation for Church of the Palms to fund eight appliance packages to support Lives Transformed, the Campaign for Hammock Place.

Church of the Palms member, Andrea Jackson, says “Church of the Palms mission, ‘love God, love neighbor,’ aligns perfectly with the critical work Habitat Sarasota does for affordable housing in our community.”

“Church of the Palms has been a generous supporter of Habitat Sarasota’s mission for over two decades. Members of the church have touched the lives of many families through volunteering and financial support, and for this, we are extremely grateful.” Shares Renee Snyder, President and CEO of Habitat for Humanity Sarasota.
