Registration Open for Summer 2021 Classes at SCF

Registration is open for new and all returning students for Summer 2021 at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF), starting Monday, March 8. Academic advising, career mentoring, financial aid and flexible schedule options are available to help students pursue their degrees. Registration is available at My.SCF.edu or through the SCF Mobile app for existing students and SCF.edu for new students. Summer 2021 classes will begin Monday, May 11, at SCF Bradenton, SCF Lakewood Ranch, SCF Venice and online.

Taking classes in the summer at SCF allows students to sign up for shorter courses, attend remote classes and graduate sooner. Additionally, SCF’s smaller class sizes and individualized attention help guide students to success.

SCF provides many course delivery methods, so students have the flexibility to pursue their education without hindering work or family commitments. 

• Summer credit courses are scheduled in two 6-week sessions or over one 12-week session.
• Flex Start courses have differing start dates and include two 5-week sessions and one 8-week session.
• Students with weekday responsibilities can even attend all their classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays through SCF’s Weekend College.
• SCF also has an expanded online learning format called Go Live with SCF Online, which involves live lectures and interpersonal interaction with professors and classmates. This platform joins the existing traditional online courses that enable students to study at their own pace.

Tuition at SCF is already less than half the cost of many student universities. SCF also offers many ways to cover tuition costs through scholarships, financial aid and payment plan options. 

SCF’s associate degrees, bachelor’s degrees and one-year certificate programs are designed to meet the workforce needs of Manatee and Sarasota counties. Credits earned for an A.A. degree at SCF are transferable to any university in the state.
