January 20, 2021 – Sarasota

Impact100 SRQ has officially kicked off its 2021 Membership Drive, and if you have a passion for helping your community and want to become part of the Impact100 SRQ mission, now is the time to join.

In just two short years of the chapter being fully operational, the women of Impact100 SRQ have made a significant impact in Sarasota and Manatee county, awarding nearly $600,000 to local nonprofits to fund transformational grants.  2020 was a year like no other, and when asked about how Covid19 has affected membership, Impact100 SRQ President, Jane Watt, said “We have seen the generosity and acts of kindness by women throughout our community increase during these extraordinarily difficult times, and more and more women are wondering how they can help.  The more women who join our mission, the more grants we can fund and the bigger the impact we will have in our local community. That is truly the impact of Impact and we welcome women of all ages and in all stages of their life to join.”

In 2019 the organization had 228 founding members and in 2020 they quickly increased their membership by over 50% to 342 members.  Impact100 SRQ is hoping 2021 will be another strong growth year for them as they continue to strive to fund grants for all five of their focus areas in Arts & Culture, Environment, Education, Family and Health & Wellness.

The  membership drive for the 2021 giving year is open now until February 28th and registration is available on their website at www.Impact100SRQ.org  by clicking JOIN NOW.

ABOUT IMPACT100 SRQ
Impact100 SRQ is one of sixty 501C chapters worldwide and joins its sister chapters in the local collective giving model.  Formed in 2017, Impact100 SRQ brings together a diverse group of local women of all ages, backgrounds, races and incomes to annually fund $100,000 transformational grants to local non-profits in Sarasota and Manatee County. The model is simple.  At least 100 women, each give a $1000 tax deductible donation, then they collectively award high impact grants in increments of at least $100,000 to our local 501C organizations in the five focus areas: Arts & Culture, Environment, Education, Family and Health & Wellness.   Each member’s annual donation strengthens the power of intentional giving and funds the innovative projects that make a high “Impact” and sustainable difference in our local community.
