Sarasota County has released its annual review of the county’s most important projects, initiatives and accomplishments from the previous year. As part of the county’s ongoing commitment to a culture of sustainability, the report is being released digitally to expand its online audience, while reducing waste and distribution costs.
In addition to focusing on how local government works for the taxpayer, the 2020 Year in Review contains a comprehensive look at the county’s ongoing response to COVID-19.
According to County Administrator Jonathan Lewis, those efforts helped to maintain service levels, a strong financial outlook and foster community values during unprecedented times.
“The women and men working at Sarasota County have truly excelled at providing the same world-class service the community has come to expect while faced with the challenges, and unknowns, of COVID-19,” Lewis added. “Through the leadership of our county commission, we will continue to find innovative solutions, such as this new electronic format, to highlight our successes.”
