Sarasota, Florida – August 31, 2020 – Sarasota Yacht Club was recently awarded the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) Seal of Commitment, a promise that the Club achieved enhanced standards as designated by FRLA to ensure the safety of staff members and guests. SYC is among Florida’s first 100 establishments and the Suncoast’s first local private club to receive this designation.
“FRLA is proud to designate Sarasota Yacht Club with our Seal of Commitment for its commitment to sanitation excellence,” said Carol Dover, President and CEO of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association. “Through this achievement, the Club demonstrates its serious pledge to ensure the safety and health of employees, members and guests, and we commend them.”
In the current atmosphere, the goal is for everyone to have confidence that the Club is sanitary and safe, and staff are well-trained when they see an FRLA Seal of Commitment on the door.

For Sarasota Yacht Club to earn the Seal of Commitment, the Club has dedicated time and invested resources to ensure staff, members and guests remain safe and healthy while patronizing the restaurant. The establishment has completed management, food safety and COVID-19 safety and sanitation trainings. They have also development and maintained standard operating procedures with intensive safety and sanitation standards.
