Local Professional Earns Public Relations Accreditation
Sarasota, Fla. – August 20, 2020 – Laitin Schwerin, of On Ideas, a member of the Central West Coast chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (CWC-FPRA), has earned professional accreditation in public relations (APR). In receiving the designation, Schwerin joins the more than 5,000 professionals nationally that represent a group of public relations professionals committed to practicing with high ethical standards.
Schwerin is the Senior Account Executive at On Ideas, an integrated marketing firm with offices in Jacksonville and Sarasota. At On Ideas, Schwerin serves on the public relations team, supporting accounts in various industries such as healthcare, real estate, and home and organization.
Prior to joining On Ideas, Schwerin served as a public relations specialist for three years at Coldwell Banker NRT, where she led PR efforts for the brokerage’s Southeast region. Schwerin supported media relations for the brokerage’s top-performing real estate agents, regional leadership and high-profile properties. She also has a background in state government, where she served on the staffs of two Michigan state Senators. Schwerin supported campaign efforts, arranged external constituent and media communications, and conducted policy research.
Schwerin earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Michigan State University. In addition, she volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Suncoast where she mentors an 8-year-old. She also serves as the 2020-2021 Image Award co-chair with the Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association.
